Attendees will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the 2022 Tulip Queen during the pageant. The 2022 Tulip Queen will be crowned as a conclusion to the event.

SUMMARY:2021 Tulip Festival Extravaganza
DESCRIPTION:The annual Orange City Tulip Festival Extravaganza will be held Wednesday\, March 17\, at Prairie Winds Event Center. The event features a luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m. with the program to follow during which the costumes for the 2021 Tulip Queen and Court are revealed and the 2021 parade marshals will be introduced. \nThe 2021 Tulip Court will also present their traveling road show for the first time. The road show\, which the festival royalty wrote and will present to various organizations\, schools\, and residential care facilities this spring\, tells of the events and attractions at Tulip Festival and gives a detailed overview of their costumes. \nMembers of the 2021 Tulip Court are Queen Grace Dahl\, daughter of Rik and Amy Dahl\, court members Elsie Bartels\, daughter of Eric and Vanessa Bartels\, Laura Beltman\, daughter of Daryl and Shirley Beltman\, Maci Brenneman\, daughter of Patrick and Dana Brenneman\, and Lindsey Jacobsma\, daughter of Melinda Jacobsma and the late Randy Jacobsma. \nAn additional highlight will be a “teaser” of the upcoming Tulip Festival Night Show production of Cinderella. The cast has been tirelessly rehearsing the show and some members will be present to share the progress with attendees. \nTickets for the event are limited and a live stream of the event will be available to the general public.

DESCRIPTION:Orange City’s 2021 Tulip Court will participate in a virtual Tulip Pageant in order to select the 2021 Tulip Festival Queen. \nA Queen’s Tea with the court members and three pageant judges will be held on Monday\, November 16. A special crowning ceremony will also take place on the evening of November 16 for the Tulip Festival court members and their immediate family members. The crowning event will not be open to the public but a livestream will be available on the Tulip Festival website. \nIn prior years\, the Queen’s Pageant is a paid admission event. Due to the virtual event this year\, we are opening voting to the public for free. \nIn lieu of the 2020 cancellation of the festival\, we are thankful for the many generous donations we have received. A special crowning ceremony will also take place on the evening of November 16 for the Tulip Festival court members and their immediate family members. The crowning event will not be open to the public but a livestream will be available on the Tulip Festival website.   \nIn prior years\, the Queen’s Pageant is a paid admission event. DESCRIPTION:Dutch Dozen Auditions are January 23rd from 3:30 to 5:00 at the Orange City Community Room locates in the basement of the town hall. A group of 12 young ladies and 12 young men\, all in high school\, provide a colorful\, light-hearted and melodious journey through Old Holland\, with most of the choreographed singing in Dutch. Dutch Dozen members wear traditional Volendam costumes\, and the ladies wear signature orange klompen\, or wooden shoes.
